What are Managed Services?

Managed Services are Essential IT ServicesSM required by all business entities that seek to maximize their return on investment in Information Technology, boost productivity, and increase profitability.

Managed Services is a term used to describe the third party monitoring and maintenance of Information Technology.  The "management" of these services is usually contracted for a fixed monthly fee. 

Monitoring is one of the many Proactive Maintenance functions provided by a Managed Services Provider.  A specialized piece of software, called an Agent, is installed on your company's personal computers and servers.  The Agent then monitors your system for warnings and error messages.  Ideally, the Managed Services Provider has been alerted of a problem and corrected it before any end-users were aware that a problem existed or experienced any downtime.
